I am a PhD Linguist and Cognitive Scientist originally from Texas, USA. I love languages and cultures, and I consider myself somewhat of an “armchair sociologist”. My hobbies include singing, reading, exercising, knitting, crocheting, learning new languages, and (when possible) traveling to new places.

My academic research has focused on adult and infant phonological and lexical perception, especially in vowels and accented speech. Through my research, I have built skills in experimental design, statistics, computer programming, project management, teaching, and scientific writing. I hope to continue developmental research and plan to expand to new topics within linguistics and cognitive science.
